As a boutique builder, we limit the number of our projects each year to a select few, allowing us to stay focused on our clients’ needs and to ensure that their homes are built to our own rigorous standards. Vail Custom Builders is poised to lead our clients through the building process. We take their dream, facilitate its design, and ensure it is built to our own rigorous standards. From the start we evaluate potential homesites and properties, analyzing value and identifying risks. Then we create a plan and assemble the right team of professional designers, consultants, and trade partners to get it all on paper. Producing the highest quality product is our goal. And, for us, quality control starts long before construction begins. We get involved from the beginning, when the design process starts, where we listen and learn about our clients’ priorities and the intent of the design team. We help set goals for the project, then conduct research and provide insight on construction feasibility and efficiency. As the design evolves and develops, we prepare detailed estimates and critical path schedules. We also investigate Value Engineering opportunities and present ways of cutting costs without compromising quality or design intent. This collaborative approach enables our clients to make smart, informed decisions before breaking ground. We feel a home should be built to last for generations. This means working with architects and engineers to get systems and infrastructure designed properly and customized to each project. It means checking and double checking that everything from concrete to waterproofing to interior finishes are being installed to the highest standards; it means scrutinizing details and making careful, painstaking efforts to do things right.
